MHarvard Model United Nations (MUN)
The Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) lays a firm foundation for students to develop their multitasking skills via international exchange programs and activities, one of which is the Model United Nations (MUN) - an academic simulation of the United Nations General Assembly that is highly popular among many IPS students. Since first held in the 1950s, MUN has become the world’s most well-known and prestigious academic programs.

MUN Club of Thai Binh Duong Primary - Middle - High School, officially established by the end of 2020, has been greatly supported by the students and their parents. The club is considered as an effective environment for students to enhance English proficiency, build self-confidence in public speaking, as well as hone debating, logical thinking, persuasion and active listening skills.
Despite its new inception, Thai Binh Duong School is proud to be the sole representative from Vietnam to compete against the global peers in the Harvard Model Congress Asia. This is a great opporturnity for IPS students to gain new experience and useful knowledge via extensive discussion on world’s pressing issues with other foreign delegates. On top of that, it helps them to evolve their confidence when debating and approaching drastic matters in different perspectives on a global scale.
Equipped with valuable MUN experience, Thai Binh Duong School students have marked their impressive presence in national and international competitions such as: MUN held in Quy Nhon, 4 major awards of MIYIO 2021 – “9th Malaysia International Young Inventors Olympiad 2021” organized by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, the Honorable Mention of the International Model United Nations (IMUN), among several others.
Global classes under school’s organization and continous support
In the context of sporadic COVID-19 outbreaks, global classes - a learning model that are taking the center stage - have become a highlight of the IGC School system in general, and of Thai Binh Duong Primary - Middle - High School in particular.
Notably, the students have engaged in 2 “Global Class” programs of the world’s leading universities in the 2020-2021 academic year.
The first program was "Live Lecture Series" organized by the Trinity College (University of Melbourne, Australia). These exclusive lectures by Trinity College professors gave students the chance to learn, explore and interact with an international learning environment offered by one of the world’s top colleges.
Thai Binh Duong School students at the New Zealand Global Competence Certificate graduation ceremony.
The second one called Global Competence Certificate or GCC New Zealand was held by the end of 2020. This was a special 4-week course built on quizzes, animated videos, writing assignments, and interactive games. Plus, there were 4 group discussion sessions between Vietnamese and New Zealand students under the guidance of Massey University professors.
These international activities offers students an academic playground for the development of essential skills and self-confidence towards global integration.
Duke of Edinburgh's International Awards (DofE) – an internationally recognized awards program for young leadership
The Thai Binh Duong Primary - Middle - High School is officially launching the Duke of Edinburgh's International Awards (DofE) from the 2021-2022 academic year. The program was first introduced in 1956 in the U.K. by Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh as an international leadership award for young people aged 14 to 18. The goal is to empower students with knowledge, cultural awareness, physical fitness and related skills that ignite their passions.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Awards (DofE) is a crucial and meaningful initiative for Thai Binh Duong School students.
The program takes on 4 sections of Volunteering, Skills, Physical and Expedition at 3 levels namely Gold (grade 11 - 12), Silver (grade 10-11), and Bronze (grade 9). The aim is to encourage students to push their boundaries and reach new heights in the personal developmet journey, together with an international award towards global citizenship.
